Who we are

Recovering Satellites is an independent UK band based in Somerset, England — a hobby and passion project, not a registered company or commercial business. This website exists to showcase the band, share our music and gig news, and let people get in touch. The data we collect

Website visitors

When you browse the website we may collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used. See "Analytics" below.

Contact form submissions

We only collect personal details when you voluntarily choose to contact us — you don't need to provide anything to browse the site. When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address and message you provide, and use them solely to read and reply to your enquiry (for example, a booking request).

How your contact form is processed (Web3Forms)

Our contact form is delivered using Web3Forms, a third-party form-to-email service. When you submit the form, the details you enter are transmitted securely to Web3Forms, which forwards them to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your message for its own purposes. You can review their privacy practices at web3forms.com/privacy.

Analytics

Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website (for example, which pages are most popular). Analytics cookies and tracking are only loaded after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode and IP anonymisation. Cookies

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing, newsletters or any unrelated purpose — sending us a message will not add you to any mailing list. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the website and respond to you — principally Web3Forms (form delivery) and Google (analytics, where consented) — and only so they can provide those services to us.
